Which acting skills do you need to develop based on the workshop today? Why?

Set yourself  three targets:
1. To make sure I project to all areas of the room so everyone in a traverse audience will be able to hear me clearly.

2. To make sure my articulation, clarity, and diction is good but while doing so maintaining good projection

3. To make sure my scene is running smoothly by using a method called 'Listening and Response' to make the scene flow like a  conversation.

Reflect on the targets set:  Have they been achieved? How?

I have achieved my first target by doing an exercise at the start of our lesson where we had to stand facing a wall and say our line to the wall. Gradually, as we got further and further away from the wall we still had to make sure our voice would metaphorically and physically 'bounce' off that wall. This helped out a lot with my projection.

I didn't achieve this target to it's full potential as at the end of the lesson Miss Goodall was giving us notes on our scenes and my personal target was to work on my articulation, clarity and diction. This will definitely be something I will work on before my final performance.

I achieved my last target by again making sure I know all the deep details about my character and what he really feels and what he really wants. This helps me smooth the scene out because I can make it look like I have heard what the other character is saying for the first time. I also think this can make the audience more comfortable as they feel they are in the same position as my character.

Here are some photos of the notes on my script:

This is another exercise where we had to pick any scene of the play that our character was in and write a diary entry about what happened. This is mine:
