FINAL EVALUATION

Performance Evaluation

One definite strength of my performance was my energy. I feel right from the start of the scene I managed to hold a high energy which I think makes the audience more attentive.

Another strength that found in my performance was my characterisation. I feel like I really portrayed Callum's emotions well. I did this by using all the subtext exercises we did and all the character profiling. These really helped.

Another strength I feel I had in my performance was my vocal tone. At the points I needed to be angry I would raise my voice and at parts where I had to be disgusted I would almost say my line through gritted teeth.

Overall I think everyone worked together and our performance as a cast was outstanding. I think we were all very focused and professional about such a sensitive topic. All our weeks of hard work have paid off.

I think Tim did a very good job in his scene as his was probably the most difficult scene of them all as you had to be mature. I also thought it was a hard scene because it the first scene and it sort of sets the background for the play. Tim and Sharene both had to be very mature in their scenes as it involved kissing a couple of times. I think they both did a very good job as when they first saw the scene they didn't know each other and it would have been a bit awkward.

If I could have changed one thing about my performance it definitely would have been to improve a bit more on the pacing of my words. I stumbled a bit on one of my lines that was quite long (due to nerves I think) so thats something I definitely want to improve along with my articulation.

My long term target:

To be aware of what's around me (use spacial awareness), to know where I have to be on stage and try not to pace up and down.

I feel like I have achieved my long term target. I have done this by carefully deciding where I needed to be in my scene and using the space and the block on the stage to my advantage.
